Privacy policy

This policy explains what the Fluenced app (package app.fluenced) and the website fluenced.zapware.xyz collect, why, and what you can do about it. Fluenced is published by Zapware, Lisbon, Portugal ("we"). Questions go to fluenced.admin@zapware.xyz.

The short version

• You can use Fluenced without an account. Your progress and saved phrases then stay on your device.
• If you sign in, we store your email address, your learning progress and your saved phrases so they sync between devices.
• Text you type into Translate Anything is sent to our server to be translated and spoken. We do not keep it.
• No ads, no analytics SDKs, no tracking, and we never sell your data.
• You can delete your account and all synced data at any time, in the app or on the delete account page.

What we collect

If you create an account (optional)

• Email address, to sign you in with a password or a one-time email link.
• Account ID, a random identifier created when you sign up.
• Learning progress: which phrases you have seen and when they are due for review.
• Saved phrases: the translations you bookmark, with their languages.
• Preferences: the language you are learning.

We use this only to run the features above. The legal basis is performance of our contract with you (GDPR Art. 6(1)(b)).

When you use Translate Anything

The text you enter and the two languages you chose are sent to our translation server, which forwards them to an AI language model provider to produce the translation and pronunciation. The result is turned into speech by a text-to-speech service. This text is processed to answer your request and is not stored by us or linked to your account. Do not enter sensitive personal information into Translate.

Stored on your device

Your theme, progress, saved phrases and any audio you download for offline use are kept in the app's local storage on your phone. They never leave the device unless you sign in. Uninstalling the app or clearing its data removes them.

Technical data

Like any internet service, our servers and content delivery network receive your IP address and basic request details (time, file requested, app version) when the app downloads lesson audio or calls the translation service. These logs are used for security and to keep the service running, and are deleted within 30 days.

What we do not collect

We do not access your location, contacts, photos, microphone, camera or device identifiers. The app requests no Android permission other than internet access. We do not use advertising or analytics SDKs.

We use these providers to run the app. They process data on our behalf and may not use it for their own purposes:

Some providers are outside the European Economic Area. Where that happens, transfers rely on the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses or an adequacy decision.

How long we keep data

• Account data: until you delete your account. Deletion is immediate and permanent.
• Translation text: not stored.
• Server logs: up to 30 days.

Your rights

You can access, correct, export or delete your data, object to or restrict its processing, and complain to your data protection authority (in Portugal, the CNPD). To delete everything, use Account › Delete account in the app or the delete account page. For anything else, email fluenced.admin@zapware.xyz from the address on your account. We reply within 30 days.

Security

All traffic between the app and our services is encrypted with HTTPS. Database access is restricted per account with row-level security, so one user cannot read another user's data.

Children

Fluenced is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes

If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top and, for significant changes, tell you in the app.
